Warts can be unsightly and certainly aren’t exclusive to a specific area of the body, however they are prone to grow in sweat prone areas such as the hands and feet. A wart (verruca) is a painful skin lesion caused by a viral infection. The virus is a strain of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). It is an infection that cannot be cured and lives in many of us without even knowing it. Once the virus has infected the patient, it cannot be removed or killed from the blood stream. However, the actual wart that lies within the skin can be treated.
